I do love standing and experiencing nature and overloading on the saturation of visual information. I don't know if I am a plein air artist and I really don't care if I am or am not viewed as such. I just enjoy feeling or getting lost in the feeling of nature while sketching.
Getting lost in nature is very much about the journey through and then being motionless in my surroundings. I do find that journey, the expectation and exploration of a location all part of the feeling and then that becomes heightened when I stop and look and see. It is therapy, from a world that has become too much.
Walking home is hard and I'm often so tired. I post my pictures and the location on Instagram and do admit to following the responses, I want the recognition. Maybe that is one thing that should change.
